See 30,000 Marshmallows Fall From A Helicopter At Spring Marshmallow Drop Event In Hollywood

It’s going to be raining marshmallows in Broward County this weekend. 

More than 30,000 marshmallows will be dropped from a helicopter at Boulevard Heights Community Center in Hollywood on Saturday, March 19.

The annual Spring Marshmallow Drop is the highlight of a family-friendly day that includes activities such as arts and crafts, music, food, refreshments, a bounce house, an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter bunny. The fun kicks off at 2 p.m., with the marshmallow drop scheduled at 4:30 p.m.  

Children are encouraged to bring baskets or bags in order to collect both eggs and marshmallows. All participants will receive a bag of candy and will be eligible to win other prizes including bicycles and gift baskets.

Lucky's Market Natural Grocer Opening First Southeast Florida Store In Coral Springs March 23

A new specialty grocery store opening in Coral Springs will host its official bacon-cutting ceremony next week.

Yes, we said bacon-cutting.

Lucky's Market will kick off its grand opening day festivities on Wednesday, March 23, at 8 a.m. with team members cutting through a huge slab of bacon with what organizers describe as a ninja knife.

The day will continue with food samples, fun, and grant presentations to local nonprofits LifeNet4Families and Scentsability totaling $10,000. 

Lucky's Market is natural and organic grocer known for its in-house cured and smoked bacon, ready-to-eat meals, and "never ever" meats that have never been treated with antibiotics or artificial growth hormones.
